In 1995 I decided I was going to go fruit picking around Australia. But a man I met showed me something that changed my life. It was a leaflet with Bible verses about receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. I was curious and asked a lot of questions.
Later I was invited to a Revival Centre Christmas Camp at Bowen in Queensland, and decided to have a look. I was amazed at the enthusiasm of the people there and decided
I wanted what they had. The next day the Pastor prayed with me and I received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues, just as the same as in the Bible. This was the first time I had prayed in my life. About 2 hours later I was baptised by immersion (in the sea), as the Bible says.

I had been told that receiving the Holy Spirit was a good experience, but I wasn't expecting just how good it was. Absolutely amazing! I can say without hesitation that it was the best day of my life. I had a feeling of euphoria which lasted for weeks I couldn’t stop smiling, I found that I wanted to read the bible,and got to church meetings and hang out with other Christians. None of these things were of interest to me before that.

But the main thing was that I was convinced that God was real and that He really loved me and He had given me a new direction in life. I realised that I didn’t swear anymore and I had no desire to drink or smoke but what I did want to do was tell everyone I met how good I felt and how they could get what I got if they wanted to.
In 2003 I got married. My wife had received the Holy Spirit and spoken in tongues in 1994. Judie already had 4 children. They have also all received the Holy Spirit the same as us. They all have their own miraculous experience and don’t have to take our word that God is real and powerful.

In 2008 Judie fell over in a carpark and an xray showed she had broken her arm in 3 places. Judie was in a lot of pain. 11 days later we had been out at night and I had accidentally bumped her arm several times, which was agony for Judie.
When we got home, Judie really asked God to help, then she took a couple of panadol (painkillers) and went to bed. The next day to our delight and amazement Judie was totally pain free with no sign of the previous problem.
Broken arm miraculously healed
Then 2 days later Judie tripped and hit the same arm. She was taken to the same doctor and was xrayed again. To the doctors amazement there was no sign of any breaks even though Judie had a large bruise on her forearm. The doctor thought there must be something wrong with the machine but we knew that God had fixed it (Her arm that is)
If you're not sure about God, why not do as we did, and give God a chance. You will never regret it!
