Resham                                            Nawalparisi. Nepal

My father and mother were Hindus and I was born into this religion.  We used to worship idols, Gods and Goddesses and thought this was the true Gods.  One day my mother was sick and my father took her for many treatments with doctors.  My mother’s health did not improve and day by day she was dying.  My father sold all his lands to pay for these treatments because he loved my mother and she was more important.

Day by day she (my mother) was dying

When all the lands were sold and the money was spent there was nothing else to help.  The doctor told my father “ don’t come to the hospital again because your wife will be dead in 3 days.  My father was distressed by this news and did not tell us his children.

At this time our lady neighbor said that by prayer my mother could be healed, no medicine just prayer power and my father automatically changed.

He took my mother to the pastors home.  He tied my mother onto his back and walked into the mountains. This was a very dangerous time in Nepal as the King ruled and the police were Hindu and were very against Christianity.  Bibles were not allowed and all the visiting missionaries from China, Bhutan and India had to return home.  My father arrived at the pastors home and the pastor said “leave your wife here for 7 days we will look after her”.  My father was very worried about our mother and we were crying “ where is our mother”.  2 days later our mother walked into our village.  My father realized that the Christian prayer was true as our mother was healed to our surprise.

When I was 16 I was in quiet devotions and the Holy Spirit came on me and God gave me the   new tongues.  I did not know what language I spoke.  I can speak Nepali, Taru,  English and Hindi.  I knew I had to be baptized and my father did this. I went to Kathmandu to Bible college to study the Bible for three years.  I would not let any reason stop me from serving Jesus.  This was when I met my wife Muna.

I would not let any reason stop me from serving Jesus.

Now for 4 years I have been Pastor of the Ashish (blessing) church in Nawalparisi.  Recently we heard about the RCI(Revival Centres International) church and true message of salvation and that visitors from Australia would come.  We are now part of the RCI church in Nawalparasi preaching water baptism, the Holy Spirit with signs, miracles and wonders following.
