Doctors had wanted to perform open heart surgery when he was 3 years old, but I couldn’t take the risk that he might not survive the operation. He suffered febrile convulsions from 11 months old. It distressed me to see him turn blue and be continually sick. He spent most of his time in and out of hospital. Finally, doctors told me it was my fault and that I was a bad mother.

When my husband was baptised, I went along too, mainly in the hope of a healing for our son. I was baptised by full immersion that day and spoke in tongues as I received the Holy Spirit. We laid hands on our son and not knowing what to say, we just prayed in tongues, trusting that God knew the earnest desire we had – that our son be healed. He was instantly and completely healed.

The night that I received the Holy Spirit I had another miracle. I had been wearing a back brace for some months and was in continual pain. My husband would often come home to find me lying in the bed crying with the pain. I awoke completely healed. I took my brace off and have not worn it in 20 years.
